For over 30 years, Dr. John Guercio has been a trusted leader in the field of applied behavior analysis (ABA), working to create meaningful change for adults with autism, intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), and severe behavioral challenges.
John believes that behavior analysis should do more than just manage behavior — it should build autonomy, dignity, and long-term quality of life. That’s why he has spent his career helping behavior analysts, clinicians, and direct support professionals move beyond compliance toward evidence-based practices that reduce restrictive interventions and promote meaningful engagement.
Experience That Makes a Difference
Dr. Guercio currently serves as the Director of Training and Consultation at Benchmark Human Services, where he supports the implementation of positive behavior supports and person-centered strategies across adult service settings. He has previously served as the vice president of clinical services at Great Circle and as a consulting editor for Behavior Analysis: Research and Practice, the APA’s behavior analytic journal.
